Events
Most of what gets said at an event never leaves the room.
We run events in loops. People talk in small groups, we play back what they said, and they build on it in the next round. Our facilitators look after the room, and the technology makes sure good ideas don't get lost.
What changes
What's different about an event run in loops
The room sees its own thinking
Insight is captured as people talk, then played back to the room within minutes, not pieced together from flip-chart photos a week later.
Ideas travel between groups
Each loop carries one group's thinking to another. Breakout sessions stop happening in isolation.
People correct the summary
Our synthesis is a draft. The next loop is where the room fixes what we got wrong.
Everyone leaves with the record
Participants get what came out of every group. Organisers get every idea and disagreement, ready to act on.
When to bring us in
It works best when we're involved while the event is still being planned.
Technology added at the last minute rarely helps much. If we help shape the questions and the groups, it can be built in properly and made accessible to everyone taking part.
Design the loops
We shape the question, the groups and the flow of the day with you, and choose the right tools for the room.
Run the loops
Our facilitators run the groups. Between loops, we show the room what it said so the next round starts further on.
Close the loop
A short record for everyone who took part. The full material for you, ready to act on.
A first event
The easiest way to see what collective intelligence can do is to run one event with us.
It could be a conference, an away day, a network gathering or a public consultation.
